Hi,

I have a polo 9n 1.4 tdi twist. The engine temp gauge no longer gets above 50C. As soon as I noticed I replaced the thermostat. The old one turned out to be stuck open so I was convinced I had fixed it. But when I took it out for a drive it still won't get above 50C.

Can anyone tell me what could be wrong?

I'm thinking coolant temp sensor, but I don't know where it is on this engine.

Any help would be great.

Number 15 below is the coolent temp sensor

It's on the ride handside of the engine, near the back.

I'll try and get a pic tomorrow
