Has anyone installed LED's in the footwell, if so can you guide me through.
Can i wire them from the interior light so they come on when the doors open?
thanks,
Dan

I've got some LEDs wired in for ambient lighting (not the footwells yet though) - I opted for the sidelights though, so I could have them dim-able too.

They are simply 2-Blue LED strips of the same color of the instruments that light up when you open the doors.
They are connected to the interior light, and even work with the remote control,
when I open the doors come on foot in the space under and above the white one always led.
The work was performed in a specialized workshop, but I think it is very simple.
We'll put more photos soon ^ _ ^
Have a Good Day

I cover it in brief in this guide. It's pretty simple once you see it though.

I'm looking to do the same. I'm thinking of running it off the cigarette lighter cables, to a switch in/near the glove box then to the footwells and maybe the underside of front seats.
This will be my first kind of electrical project and finding it difficult to get any information. Can someone give me advice on this? I would prefer it on a separate switch to having it on one of the interior light switches.
Cheers

My work has been carried out in a specialized center,
where I also performed all the audio system,
my lights are connected to the opening of the doors.

Thats exactly what I'm looking to do. Was it a pretty easy job? I'm also tempted to do it under the front seats and onto the rear foot wells.

Yeah very easy mate. Take the cigarette lighter out and take a feed and an earth from it. I also had it under the front seats but when i put my recaro buckets in i left it out. I used the Ikea led light strips and then cut the transformer off which took it from mains to 12v. Works a treat mate.
I used these mate and used the switch that is after the transformer. Just double check the voltage and current parameters as it looks like they have updated the set as mine differs slightly.
