Headlight misted up

I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on common problems that allow water to sit in the headlight assembly. I have had the car 2 years and only now has it started. I can only assume its a seal in the headlamp assembly but what do you guys think?
I know how to get the bumper off and headlamp out but was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what could cause this before I get the bumper off.
Cheers!

Is the cover on the back properly?

Yeah the 3 covers for each light are on correctly. They have a hole in the headlight one for the HID's to pass through into the assembly. The hole is sealed off though on either side with a rubber seal that's attached to the wiring of the HID's. Both headlight have had the HID's in for years so unsure why there's water getting into one of them now. The driver side one remains fine but the passenger one is fogged up. There isnt much water inside its just fogged up with droplets.
Looking into other forums, I may well get the bumper off and assembly out. Clean it all out with soapy solution and allow it to dry out. Then clean any of the vents and put silica around the seals to seal it back up nice. I was also thinking of putting a little water absorbent silica gel pack in there (possibly glued or fastened underneath the reflective sheet).

It'll be due to the hid hole mate, even with a rubber bung. My mates Clio had same issue, it had previously had hids, he removed and taped up the hole using duct tape (water tight) and still mistes, we removed it, siliconed the hole instead and had no issues since.

Figured this one out! Its because I took HID's out for the MOT. During the 2 days when I had the MOT the water got in as the bung wasnt present anymore! Resolved
