Pro kit or Streetline...Please help me decide!?

Ok so my car is booked in to have the broken H & R springs removed next week, and have been humming and harring about these 2 Eibach options for quite a while now... I've purchased the Streetlines but am starting to get cold feet about them thinking they are going to drop the car too low for its standard gas shocks to cope with, which btw are new so I can't really think about purchasing more at the mo. I only really wanted the springs to sharpen up the handling, not too fussed on looks (although the H&R stance looks awesome!) as rest of the car is standard, but shall I play it safe and opt for the Pro-Kit with the possibility of feeling minimal improvement but saving my suspension components? Or will it be enough for what I'm after? Do the streetlines actually lower as far as 50mm? Euurghh please help me lol...

I dont think you will be too pleased with the Pro Kit if i'm honest, you will probably end up kicking yourself if you dont go for the Sportlines which give the car a much nicer look.The standard shocks will handle that level of lowering but will ofcourse have a shorter shelf life due to them being stiffer than the OEM springs, dont let that put you off because the original springs & shocks will normally last 10 years +
Despite stating -50mm ride height you can realistically expect around 40mm which should give the car a nice look whilst still being practical for everyday driving (speed bumps, low kerbs etc) The Pro-Kit are advertised as -30mm but will actually drop it by 23-25mm maximum.Eibach springs are a top quality brand so you wont be disapointed regardless of which set you choose, I had a set of Eibach Pro Kits fitted to my Civic Type R recently and they are brilliant.
Just to clarify though the Civic sits quite low standard so I went for the Pro-Kit for practicality reasons rather than looks because the Sportline springs for the Civic virtually drop it to the floor

Compare that to the Polo GTI which looks like it's on stilts when standard so it's always worth going that extra bit lower for a nice look, the extra 10-15mm can make all the difference.

Thanks for the informative post, thats definitely helped somewhat I just really don't want to make the wrong choice as it cost me so much the first time around! So the Pro kit wouldn't lower as much as the Sportlines but are they both as firm as each other? With the H&R's on at the mo, disregarding the broken spring, the ride is so bouncy on the roads around here and I know the shocks don't help but as I said I don't really want to put uprated shocks on because they are new, and these springs were only meant to lower 35mm...does that mean the Sportlines will be just as bouncy if not worse? Thats kind of my main fear really, don't want the car to rattle itself to bits!

The Sportlines should theoretically be firmer than the pro kit however all Eibach springs are progressive so you will have to sacrifice some of the ride comfort.
The OEM shocks & Springs are really comfortable but lack that performance feel which really does destroy the handling, I always felt my GTI was dangerous until I fitted the coilovers because it really did feel vague in the bends.
If I’m honest with you I would personally buy the H&R cup suspension kit rather than having lowering springs on the OEM shocks.
I know you have just forked out a lot of money for brand new shocks but even with lowering springs they are never going to be great because the shocks are not designed for lowering springs, uprated shocks & springs would be the perfect set-up because they will still be comfortable for everyday driving whilst massively improving the handling.
The ride will be planted and firm (nowhere near to the extreme of coilovers) and you won’t have to worry about whether the shocks are going to go wrong etc.
Have a think about it mate because the H&R kit would be a great investment, they also have a good re-sale value too if for example you were not satisfied.
