hi all,

anyone knows where exactly is located the ambient temperature sensor on a 11 reg Polo? Its reading +3 degrees so its way out and i believe is because the engine heat. I would like to relocate it.

Thank you all

Sorry I can't tell you where the sensor is, but I can say that mine appears fairly accurate having used it from +36°C down to -15°C.

However, on hot days it is distorted by hot tarmac pushing the temp up the +3° you mention...

They're generally in the wing mirrors I think. Not fully sure on the Polo though.

thank you for your answers.. the sensor is in front of the radiator under the front lower grill. I have relocated to a spot where the sun does not get... now seems more accurate but still in hot days picking up the warm of the tarmac.

Might clip into the front bumper somewhere :)
