I had a message appear on my Radio/Cassette today when I switched off the engine. It said " TIM 2h ". :?

As my W reg 2000 VW in-car manual for the standard fit VW Radio/Cassette is written in German, so I have no idea what this means as I do not "spekense Deutch" as you an probably tell.

And does the Radio/Cassette tell the time as well?

Can anyone help out?

I think it's to do with the traffic message storage thingywhatsit...

Basically if you leave your radio on a station that does traffic announcements, and TP is on, then when you leave your car, the radio will store up to 2 hours worth of announcements in it's memory.

When you return to your car, you press the TIM button (under the volume knob iirc) and it will play back any traffic messages it has stored.

Never used it, so I don't know if it works, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

If I'm wrong, then I'm sorry!

:D

Yep Josh thats what it is.......I keep meaning to check it actually works but never get round to it.

You have to have the radio in TP mode for it to work apparently.

Cheers

Dave.

Yes, that's it then. I had the TP on today so that explains it. Not sure I want to hear 2 hours of stored TP though. Eik. But at least the TP does actually work as it kept interupting when I listening to the news on the Radio.
