Hi All,
Im new to this site, and have had my Polo just over a month now and wanted to start a build thread as I have a few ideas for it,
It is a Diamond Black, 56 plate, GTI with only 34,000 miles on the clock! It came already lowered on FK coilovers, and tinted windows but otherwise compleatly standard which is what i was looking for
I have already added a green panel filter to it, and have a few other ideas on both the performance and visual side of things, so im looking forward to having peoples input and advice, and all comments welcome.
Thanks for looking

Looks nice buddy.
Looks to me like soembody has had a DV and cone filter on there before you owned it.
How do you find the ride on the coilovers?

That would make sense actually, well its got a panel filter on it now, even though i think ive made the wrong choice, but ill stick with it for a while and i want to get a DV next month when i get paid,
and the ride is really crashy to be honest haha

So decided that I wanted to start making my polo unique to me, so I changed the Gti colour scheme from Red to Purple,
The red Gti strip on the front grill has gone purple, along with the bolt covers on the wheels. I have also wrapped the badge in carbon wrap, and painted the inside of the badge purple.
ill get some more pictures of the badge on here soon as these don't show it off very well, I also sprayed the grilles gloss black except the lower middle one as I couldn't get it out,
Ive also added pressed metal plates, wind deflectors and new headlight light bulbs this weekend
There will be more purple to come, so... Opinions?

thanks bud,
The pressed plates were from ebay, heres the link:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0958718854 they came really fast too which is always good, and ive fitted them with double sided tape
the badge was relativley easy, just cut some of the carbon wrap out stuck it flat on the front, heated up the edges with a hair dryer while pulling it tight round the badge, then once it was all stuck nice cut out the VW design with a stanley knife

the info on the page is abit lacking, but these are the ones ive got and they fit perfect
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330681435773? ... 1439.l2649 £35 is abit steep in my eyes though for what they do though,

Like I said, here is a better picture of the front badge, showing the carbon wrapped badge and the purple inside, gives it a nice subtle look, whilst still keeping with my black and purple theme,
hopefully there should be some more updates soon due to pay day next week, no idea whats coming next yet though

Yeah, literally everything comes apart on the front grill, just take it off the car, then theres little clips on the back holding the stripe on, just get under them with a flathead but be careful not to snap any,
Then just clean, prime and paint the strip

Well I took the plunge and got some new wheels with the money I got from selling my old car, and I'm picking them up tomorrow

so exited!
Update to follow once there on, and with a few other things which I have been neglecting to do, but they need to be done before Edition 38
