Guys anybody know how the adjuster nut works on the Forge strut brace?
Which way should I turn it to loosen it?

The centre nut is attached to the threaded sections, you need to loosten the nuts on the 2 end sections before you turn.
You should be able to look at the thread to see which way to turn.

I don't know anyone who has.
Make sure the car is level, the steering straight, the road even. When you remove the bolts, things can move around.

Cheers mate!!!
I fitted the strut brace today. Was easy enough. Although have one issue, the bolt on one of the strut seems to have a gap and is not sitting flush. I tried to move the mount a bit but couldn't get it to sit flush. It is the left back bolt....

As long as it has resistance, should be fine. Check it after 100k's

Well bad news
That bolt was annoying me alot yesterday. So jacked the car up and removed all the bolt and tried to align the holes.
So eventually got that bolt aligned sitting flush. But then the other two wont align properly. The one towards the engine was being
a right nightmare. So after alot of aligning, somewhat the bolt halfway through had a bit of resistance and me being
impatient kept forcing the bolt in only to realise that the nut in the top mount came off its fixed position. Now it
turns with the bolt

It was a new top mount too...... Now it is rolling on two bolts and one loose bolt.
So next week have to get the top mount changed all because of a forge strut brace :'(
It is too dangerous to be rolling with one loose bolt?

nope, one bolt is no problem.
mate has an ibiza (MY2000) and they have a known problem that the the bolts brake off or something.
anyway, on each side there is one missing and he uses the ibiza for circuit racing, nothing ever happend.
but i still suggest you drive safe and "slower" as usual and be sure to get it fixed... never know i guess
btw, how did you place the strut bar?
car jacked up or on the ground? did anything special?
because, like someone said before, the car needs to be level, steering straight etc.
and be sure it is NOT jacked up.
many people make this mistake and you can put to much tension on youre suspenion towers that way.
+ it's advised to get a wheel allignment shortly after you installed it.(not really needed but advised)
that is the only and correct way of installing them without worries

Hi Turbo long time no see
All is sorted now mate, cut the bolt with a hacksaw (although damaged the strut a bit) and a mechanic replaced it for a small fee.
Must say the top mounts are a bad design tbh. The bolts in them are not strongly anchored

If there is a slight resistance, the bolt
run off easily.
Initially I installed the strut brace with the car down with the steering wheel straight. But later on I jacked the car up which probably was my biggest mistake

I did paint it white before i mounted it. And purchased new bolts from wv also.
Well good game that you sorted out your problem mate.
