Just wondered which colour / body GTi everyone has......Which is the most popular within the group etc...... And just to clarify it has been proved scientifically that Silver one's are allwaaaays faster

I'll start it off with a Silver 3-Door.

Cheers

Dave.

Black GTi 3-door. IMO its the best-looking colour, comes up nice after a couple of coats of Autoglym's 'supreme polish' :D

I reckon that silver 3-door will come out on top though, seem to be quite a few of those.

Mine's a bit of an oddball... Red 3 door, no aircon, no red seatbelts, no skirts...!

When i bought it i was really looking for a black one, nearly bought a fully loaded one from JCT600 in mansfield, but the dealership was so terrible that i ended up chucking the deal away and walking!

Still the no aircon means it's faster, and at the end of the day - even if it's a parallel import it's still got the same damn engine.. And as there was no aircon, lets just say i didn't pay full price  and it's a damn sight better than the 1.2 L reg Corsa 5dr in turquoise that i used to drive... Nice!

although insurance companies say that silver cars are involved in more traffic accidents because they blend in with the scenery and they are harder to notice while driving

So if silver cars blend in... what about the chrome-finished Jag XJ from the Motor Show's live action arena whatchamacallit? That must be invisible!

Im getting a black polo GTI within the next week, its abit of a knock down for me. At the minute ive got a red Seat Leon Cupra R 225 which unfortunatley im having to get rid of which is a b***h. But hopefully this polo will be ok.

Not as many as there are 3-doors, but there are a lot of 5-door GTi's around.
