Just found a decent pair of H&R 35-55mm springs for sale. If I buy them where do I get them fitted and how much will it cost?

Thanks :)

Best quote I had was £180, the springs are cheaper than the bloody labour to fit them!

Look for some good back street garages. I wouldn't pay anymore than £50 labour tbh. I had my coilovers removed, hubs swopped and brakes fitted and bleeded for £50 on my old polo TDI sport. But had my springs fitted of a mate for a trip to TGI's :D lol

I know it's ridiculous! No way is fitting springs worth anything near £150. I thought it'd be £40 max!

Don't know if I'd trust a private mechanic or dodgy garage :p

Only chance you've got of getting a reasonable price mate. Big name places, you will pay big money for it's as simple as that. But to be honest, many of private garages have better mechanics who actually have pride in their work over some big name places.

Most of the guys working at vw are cowboys anyway lol

Ask about in your area and see if anyone knows any decent independent garages

And always have a look at the place before you get it done. The calibre if cars being worked on will give you an idea of how good they are
