Hi all,
Looking for some help as I'm at my wits end
I'll try and explain the problem and the actions I've taken to try to rectify it.
basically if I try and unlock the door with the key fob nothing happens and the alarm goes off.
If I open the door with the key and then put the key straight in the ignition it wil sound once.
central locking locks fine off the keyfob.

So today I done my best to get to the bottom of it. In vagcom the central convenience modular brings up a fault code 01134 Alarm horn no communication. Asked around and people told me it was likely to be the batteries in the alarm are dead. So after a nightmare tryin to locate it I took it out took it apart and the batteries are absolutely fine and holding there voltage.

Have read it could also be the batteries in the keyfob so replaced them too. Any time I try to read central locks in vagcom it says controller not responding. I've tried removing the fuse for the alarm and still have the same issue with opening the doors with the fob. As soon as I press unlock the light on the door card flashes but nothing happens. If I press it about twenty times in a row it eventually opens the door. If I press lock it does it immediately.

This made me think possibly something wrong with the solenoid in the door but I can get into the car and press the lock unlock button and it works totally fine.

One more thing to add in vagcom message blocks 15 it brings up the last four causes of the alarm trigger and this gives me 32 32 17 17.

If anyone at all could shed any light on this I'd be eternally greatful tearing my hair out with this

Cheers
Michael
