GT only came on the 1.9 diesel version. Oh and where did you get those ripspeed alloys from? The Halfords store?

Welcome to the forum! A tidy example there. Not sure on the alloys but then again most of us on here are used to OEM stuff from VW or Audi etc, love the white winter steelies though

thankyou

and they are DOTZ alloys from the beauty known as eBay

at the time i bought them, i liked them because nobody had them but now i see them on quiet a few cars in my area. im not to keen on the white winter steelies but they save my alloys from the salt

should be putting some 9n3 rear lenses on soon and gonna de badge the back of "polo" and "1.2" and sticker bomb both front and back badges and maybe have a tinker underneath the bonnet with a few goodies

I like the steelies

I could do with some winter wheels too.
Just a tip if you decide to get 9n3 clusters, you'll need to alter the wiring in the loom where the plug goes into the light as the wiring is different. If you're handy with a soldering iron you can do it yourself, that or a member on here, K.I.T.T I think makes and sells plug-and-play wiring adaptors which means you don't have to hack up your loom.
Nice plans, what have you got in mind for the engine? You should get the bump strips and mirrors colour coded, or stickerbombed

yes i have heard that KITT does the adapters gonna give him a message in a minute and see how much. for the engine just gonna do the basics like K&N filter new injectors fresh coil packs etc. just give it that factory fresh feeling. that's of course going to happen after i get the bottom arm bushings sorted which are worn quiet badly

plus have a few niggily issues to sort out like the heated mirrors not working o/s/f tyre keeps loosing air on my steels interior light bulb blown all the little things that bug me about it haha

i was going to colour code it eventually cos it has some marks here and there that could be tidied up at the same time but again its all down to money and time

might get it done in the summer atleast then i can use my other veedub while its away being painted

Do you have a shopping list on your rear window?

Not to my liking to be honest - everyone is different though!

I think that, as you'll find, most people on the forum prefer to keep things oem.
