Polo 6n2 Headunit constant power issue

can anyone help?

i fitted a double din headunit but cant work the constant power out. it came with a universal iso and everything works, powers up fine etc but requires key in ignition to power up.

anyone deal with this or can advise?

Thats the way alot of them work these days. You cant use the radio unless the key is in the ignition

I wouldnt say theres anything wrong providing it doesnt forget its settings.

You need to swap the red and yellow wires. The ISO harness it came with should allow you to do this.

OK cool. Did look online but some said they blew the ignition so avoided doing this.

How do I release the wires from the harness as they are clipped right in

What model of head unit do you have?

I'll advise based on that

Its an xtrons touchscreen unit, all works fine but no constant power

Have you got a picture of the loom it came with?

It should have switchable connections for the red and yellow wires.

I'll get a wee picture, had a look at it today and they appear to pull out.
