9n boot open light

Can anyone help?
My boot open light is on and I've read it can be a common proplem?
Is there a guide on how to fix this?

Shut the boot...
no,really,sometimes the boot seems shut but isn't really fully closed,something to do with which way the boot-lock is turned..

No it must be something else, as its been going on and off since Christmas and now it's always on..
I read some where about water getting into the lock from the rear window washer?? I did spray WD40 into the catch and it went off for a while but then came on again..
Where is the sensor for the warning light? Is it something that can easily be replaced?
