I would recommend saving up for nothing less than ap / weitec coilovers. The cheap versions off ebay, build quality wise arent that bad, but ride / comfort wise are shocking. They are far too harsh and bouncy for day to day driving on our S**t british roads. If you can afford it, go for KW's or even bilstein.

I have the H&R springs on my GTI, sits perfect and ride / comfort wise are mush better than lower spec coilovers. They are coming off mine within the next month, will be selling for around £80 if you fancy trying just springs :-)

i just got budget ones on like, it is a really harsh ride but it dont bother me, get to see my lasses boobies bounce alot :P ahaha, i my self would recommend them as got them all the way down with helpers an adjusters out and had no problems and still got ground clearance

but if ya not after stupud lows like my self ad defo save up, a friend just got 50mm springs off ebay, looks low and rides good, well good to me anyway, but am used to getting thrown all over hahaha
