Crazy bad mpg!

Okay so I know there are many threads About this, but I've done everything In them to solve it. Car is currently running standard map with hybrid turbo and egr delete, had had oil change including filter and also fuel filter. But I can basically see my needle going down if I go anywhere near the accelerator! If I travel around At 10mph in 4th gesr ill get about 50 miles for a tenner, which still isn't great? Surely? What else could be causing such bad mpg?

I have a 1.4 16v 100, and I get 40 miles to a tenner, and about 250 to a full tank, then again I have a full-time lead foot.. rarely see 30mpg on the trip these days. But its got to the point where ive just learnt to live with it.
*Most of my driving is in town, by the way.

Who mapped the car? I get about 340 miles to a full tank with a similar setup.. Works out normally at about 40mpg..
Edit: just seen that you said standard map. I would get it custom mapped before you get too bogged down with mpg figures yet.
