it recently became a problem with my car with folding down the rear seats on one side. you had to really pull up the thing to put the seat forward then had to jiggle it to make it click before it would move forward. this has now led to the handel snapping. im now stuck with a seat the wont go forward so i cant even try take apart the seat to repair the mec or replace the seat. has anyone has this before and know how to fix this? is it worth me trying to fix it or is it just worth me find a new rear seat?
ohh btw new to the site and im from Oxford.

They aren't the most confidence inspiring handles at the best of times on these!
If you can get hold of a matching rear seat for sensible money, do it.
I'd anticipate you should be able to wedge the working side up, then wangle something up over the pin on the broken side, working in the boot to release it.
Once it's released, you're nearly there - dismantle the mechanism, and attach something to the last unbroken bit.
They're only usually stiff/sticky/bothersome if they're either not locating properly (loose screw? something wedged under the seat?) or the seatbelt's trapped.
That's just a couple of ideas... Good luck!
Oh, and welcome to the site!
