Hi guys!

Used to have a 6n2 Gti and I loved it, but was starting to get old so I traded it in for a 9n3 GTi a few months back. So here's a pic of the new one...



Only one I have on my laptop at the minute, and still trying to get used to keeping a black car clean in the winter!

Car doesn't have many of the factory options (which doesn't bother me too much) is totally standard at the minute with around 50k on the clock. Just been sorting out a few small bits over the last few months, new wipers, bulbs, badges, grab handles, aerial etc trying to get it nice and tidy. Not got any major plans as yet, although I could be tempted tempted with a remap....

Couple of issues I have at the minute;

1. Bit of an odd 'clunck' when braking and/or taking my foot off the accelerator, sounds suspension related to me.
2. I have a bit of a dodgy 3rd brake light, few of the LEDs have given up and its starting to flicker, looks like water has got in somehow. After a quick search online and a call to VW looks like it might cost £400 to replace as it has to be done at a body shop. So any hints on trying this myself if anyone has done it would be appreciated!

Welcome nice polo.. I've had white and black.. Both cars were a nightmare to keep clean!


Umm your problems sounds like console bushes.. My black one started to make these noises right before I was trading the car in.. The day before I was changing them on my drive way

2nd problem I also had on my black one.. If I remember rightly I paid £45? From vw and done it myself.. The spoiler is bolted and glued on... Simply re glue it on once you've replaced it

I'm assuming that the bolts are underneath the trim in the tailgate? Is it just a case of pulling it off once the bolts are undone, or is there a special way of getting it off without killing the spoiler and/or the paint work?
