16" monza wheel nut's

So just got me a set of monza's for the polo 9n, got the original steels on at the mo and was about to fit them when the pops mentioned they might need different / longer nuts. Rang a garage and they too said it probably should have them changed too. Anyone able to shed some light ?

pretty sure VW wheel bolts are pretty standard across the board, steels and alloys.
Best bet is to take a bolt off and pop it through the hole in the alloy and make sure it pokes through a fair amount. If still unsure trial fit one and make sure you get say 4 turns of the bolt by hand before being too tight.

Yeah went on fine (relatively) just got a bit worried when my dad and a garage said change them. Cheers for the advise buddy
