Broken cup holder

Hey guys!
Decided it's about time I stopped neglecting my polo and started fixing all its little faults. I started with the blower vents, as I attached some cheap ebay phone holders to them, which caused all the directional fins to move out of place.
Had to take out the centre console to sort the vent, and in the process I managed to break my cup holder. The housing popped open as I removed it from the console, and all the parts popped out.
I've had a look at it but can't work out how they all go back together. There's just one piece that had me stumped... anyone know where this bit belongs?

Thanks!
UPDATE: I gave up on putting the thing back together, so went on a hunt to try find something to fill the gap. When I googled "VW cup holder blank" one of the top results was this YouTube video. Not really relavent to what I searched for, but glad I found it as it meant I was able to put my cup holder back together and it works perfectly.
