Newbie here.

I'm looking at getting a GTi in the next month or so and was wondering how much the 0-60 time drops by with a decent induction kit eg BMC and full exhaust system.

Thanks.

there would be no great difference if any of 0-60 time as these mods are really only noticeable at high revs and make the car more responsive at higher speeds due to the engine being able to breath better! You'll be needing cams or ecu map, or p+p/skim for a decent bhp increase before you see a drop in 0-60 time!

Standard is 8.6 secs.

stock lupo 7.7s and I've never seen one do 8.0sec+ and no mag has ever tested higher than 8.osec even though VW claim 8.3 for some reason!

It's only marginally faster than the Polo GTi on the road anyway. When I got the lupo at the end of last year I was actually in the market for a Polo GTi and tested a few, but I couldn't find a decent low mileage newish one that was fully loaded so I went with the Lupo!

i've been looking at a lupo 1L today just for size and it seems fine so i'll have to drive both polo and lupo before i make my mind up.

either way i'll end up witha great car.

Inside there is pretty much no difference between the two its just the lupos boot is miniscule!

not too bothered it's better than the boot on my megane coupe at present.

the only thing that bothers me slightly is the lack of air con on most in my 2nd hand price range. I don't think it will bother me too much though it's got leccy windows.
