DRLs-Which of your bulbs are on?

I'm scratching my head over this one-yesterday afternoon,in the bright sunlight, I noticed my sidelights on running as the DRLs,but no dipped beams. However,at Dusk,the dipped headlights came on,as well as the sidelights!-The question is-what do anybody else's DRLs do,and do I have a problem with mine?-

On my Match. normally it would be all lights, although ive bent the pin back so i only have side, rear and number plate lights
