I've got an av headunit which I'm wiring up but I want to have it so dvd's can play on the move.

The issue is the wire to the headunit to the parking brake goes to the powered wire so I need to find a wire with the same power rating which is permanently on.

Any idea's??

The parking brake wire just needs to be put to an earth. this is illegal though but we've all done it

the manual for the stereo states the parking brake wire goes to the powered side of the handbrake switch and not the earth side so need to find a suitable wire

Just put it to any ignition live. Itll only draw as much power as it needs - the handbrake switch is just a 12V feed push to make.
