Hi,
Had my GT for about 3 weeks now. I've noticed that when you turn the radio on for the 1st time of the day after about 5-10 seconds the sound drops then you get the no signal symbol on the screen. It stays like this for about 3 seconds then returns to normal. It even does it when you turn it off then turn it back on after 5-10 minutes. It's nothing to do with signal strength because we have a strong signal and it never did it on my previous VW and never did it on the pure highway dab unit that I used on my other car before VW.
Any ideas as to what might be the cause of this?
Cheers

Re: Dab radio on BlueGT
If it happens only once and always at the time you suggest then my only suggestion is some sort of interference. If it was a connection it would be intermittent, at least until the unit has warmed up and dodgy connection expanded.
Is it possibly when you turn the car over or when something else electrical kicks in? Try on normal FM radio, do you here any interference given the same set of circumstances.
I'm in a very strong DAB area and tbh mine does stutter occasionally so I tend to use FM.

The same thing happens on my R-Line, start the car DAB Radio plays then it cuts off for 5-10 seconds and then comes back and all is well. Bit odd, maybe it searches for the strongest signal? FM is fine and does not do this.

I wonder if the radio starts up in the last know configuration and after 10 secs it has sorted itself out then does a quick check to see if there are any new stations or channel changes?
