Help: What is this reading on the dash??

Hi all, this is my first Polo since 1995 and I love it, it's only a base model 1.2 6R but what a lovely car!!
Anyway, just getting used to it and have found something I can't find any reference to in the manual at all, or on here or google
Basically it's got the basic trip computer and theres just 2 buttons, the left one for getting into it to set the clock, so one press and the hours flash, 2 presses the minutes flash.
However, on the third flash it comes up with a 3 digit number (that's varied between 289 and 293 for the last few days) and what appears to be a circle with a white fill in section, like a cake from above with a slice taken out of it?
Heres a screenshot showing similar on a youtube video though it's showing 490??
Can anyone enlighten me? I thought maybe it was a reading showing how many miles left until reserve or something but it didn't budge for over a hundred miles so pretty sure its not that.
