The engine should be pretty much bulletproof if looked after for 150k+ though...? Mines a 2000-W and its done 55400, of which I've put on 4000ish since september last year. At least I know its run in!

Considering the problems VW have had with the new model, and the mileage, I'd offer him a part exchange plus £100, cash

hehe i've done 74K on my W reg, I really should try and limit the miles for when it comes time to sell, but the engine seems bullet proof and pulls as strong as ever, so I can't help it

How many years must it have been standing still?!
I thought mine was a bit low mileage when I got it.... (11 years old and 56k... that's a grannies city shopping cart for cert
)... 71k and 16+ years now, that's some sort of record!
