Hi everyone,

Picked up my Polo R Line 1.2 TSI 105 earlier on in the week, so thought I'd make a quick post with some pics. I've been browsing the forum over the last few weeks and seems like a great little community :)

Loving the car so far - I am very impressed, especially with the engine and cabin.

nice car! 8) Welcome to the forum :)

Going to seem really weird, but where does the wire for your phone kit come from... Never seen it in that position on a polo before! Is it just wedged between the gloss trim and the dash ?

Got any plans for the polo? :D

Thanks guys :)

The wire for the phone kit goes straight inside the dash through the small gap between the gloss trim and the dash. The car is 12 months old and looks like the previous owner relocated it to there, which for me is much better because it means there is no wire showing and it isn't in your direct line of vision when you're driving. I'm not sure where it's plugged into though because like you say they are normally located on the right-hand side of the dash?

My Phone kit was stuck in roughly that position by the dealer. It was stuck on the left most switch blanking plate.

Last week the plate fell out showing a pinched cable. Quick bodge job I think. I removed the plate completely and replaced the phone kit doofer coveing the hole bar a tiny corner where the wire goes through. Much better option imho.

Thanks guys, still loving it!

Haven't actually used the Bluetooth yet? Is it any good?

I'm located midlands area mate. I might go to one of the organised meets sometime or something.

One thing that did confuse me is the daytime running lights. It seems that these are just your normal headlight dipped beam? I assumed they would be your sidelights.

The BT kit's pretty decent to be fair, just damn ugly and not fully compatible with music.

That's right on the DRLs. do a quick search on here and there's a fix to make it just the sidelights, involves bending or insulating a pin on the light switch, 5 min job.

My Bluetooth stand is also located to the left of the radio as well.....Never really thought twice about it being there tbh!

Personally think it looks ok there but back of the cup holders sound like a good place too....

Still loving it. The only thing I don't like is that the steering is very light compared to my last car, but you do get used to it I guess.
