I have a polo 6R with a R line kit i put on myself...

It is lowered with the H&R 25/40 kit...

i want to know how 16's would look in terms on size as i think the 17's are letting it down on performance a bit

anyone have any pics of lowered polo's with 16s would be a real help...thanks

I actually think 17s look a bit too big on the polo. I've often wondered whether 16s would suit my GTI better, but I reckon form an amateur enginers point of view, unlesss the suspension is tuned for the size it will probably do more harm than good to the performance.

Maybe a smaller rim with a higher profile tyre is the way to go so that the overall circumference is not changed? Low pros look good but you rarely see racing cars using them.

I have 16's on mine, as i couldnt justify new tyres when changing wheels.

i also didnt want to affect fuel economy either.

Are those 205/45 r16 tires?

I haven't got a picture of mine but I'm quite happy with 16 inch wheels on mine, I have 215/45 R16 tyres and the car is lowered on Eibach springs. I think you need the profile of a 16" wheel as it helps with the comfort if its your daily ride. I'd imagine 17" wheels are very harsh, especially in Staffordshire!

is it possible you can get a slightly more clear pic...from the side maybe?..it would be massive help but i cant see clearly becuase your wheels are black lol

They are 215/45 R16's.

I will upload another picture later tonight.

with standard 16inch wheels.

lowered on VW eibach springs, which i think are 30mm F&R. has dropped a little more they have settled, needs to be a little lower on the rear though. was thinking of the H&R 25/40 kit, and just fitting the rears.

I'm rolling on 17s with VW eiback drop and the ride is stiffer yer but not far from stock...

Would 205/50 r16 be fine on a standard height polo?

Is it possible to just lower the rear?

ahh im so stuck lol...i dont know what to do ...i think 16's seem a bit small dont they?

The 16's look ok in black. I would probably gone for 17 if was sticking with silver wheel though.
