Hi
Wife's passenger side mirror was clipped by a car and now the plastic indicator lens is cracked and needs replacing.
Is this easy to do??
Is there any write ups or videos?
Thanks for your help
Tony

Very easy! They cost about £30 from VW, or even Skoda as the MK2 Octavia has the same wing mirrors
You need to remove the wing mirror cover and mirror glass, then there is two tiny torx screws holding the indicator unit to the wing mirror, undo those and unplug the indicator, then pop the new one back in and put it all back together, takes about 10 minutes, job done

Be careful taking the glass out as they like to crack

Prise the mirror cap off then non mirror side with something plastic
Remove the wires to the glass and should pop off
2 torx bits each side of the motor
Then it's out just disconnect
I need the indicator too but can't seem to find one cheap?

Only about £30 from TPS...if that, hardly breaking the bank!

They sell genuine VAG parts, usually cheaper than the dealers themselves, go on their site and see if they have one local to you

Just paid £25 from TPS for Genuine VW, will hopefully get round to fitting it at the weekend.
Thanks for everyone's help
