some of you may have seen a a picture of a polo r line i posted up with the grills painted gloss black

The plastic of the grills is a sort of dimply texture

How do i overcome this to make it smooth....do i have to smooth it down with paper?
OR do i use some filler primer or similar stuff

what is adhesion promotor????

I asked a mate this and he said the best way would be to smooth it over first with a thick primer before painting over it.

Probably best to take it to a bodyshop to do it though

Hmmm....i think thick primer might cause it to flake of sometime after?....

I can do bodyshop stuff but painting over that kind of plastic is something i cant find anywhere....ive seen people do it then watch it flake off

I'd give it a coat of paint, wet sand then another coat and repeat...until you do the clrea gloss and do that as well...tedious process to get a "piano black" look
