Polo 9n Central Locking Issue

I've got a couple of strange issues with my 9n central locking.
In my old golf mk4 a single click on the remote would just open the drivers door and a double click would open all the doors. but on my 9n a single click opens the drivers door and both left hand side doors, but when i lock they all lock. then, when I am in the car and use the internal cental locking button the all the doors lock but the left hand doors immediatly unlock, but the drivers and the door behind stay locked.
Finally the boot button on the key fob doesnt unlock the boot. it just makes the indicators flash.
I'm pretty sure its an oem and not a retro cental locking kit as its an SE only had one lady owner before me.
any ideas where i could start to look to get thie weirdness fixed.
