So basically decided to address a problem which i have known about for some time, i recently plugged vag com in, and came up with "Knock Signal" "Sensor too low", so i went and bought a new part to fix the problem, only issue is i can't find the location for the knock sensor.
Any help??
Thanks

"The knock sensor is located on the rear of the cylinder block beneath the inlet manifold and is difficult to access (see illustration)"...Haynes "access can be improved by removing inlet manifold"

Good Luck

Can't quite remember Alex, would that code indicate something else?
Do you happen to know where the knock sensor is on the block, i've heard it needs to be torqued up 20nm i think, i assume it's got to be around there, hopefully not too difficult to access?

There is a sensor on the back of the block under where the starter motor sits, which probably is torqued to that

Can you get a photo of the sensor you bought? Ill be able to tell you if its that one from looking
