Adjusting top mounts

To cut a long story short i had a crash and was left with negative camber on the front drivers side.
i placed a camber bolt on the strut and fixed it but it has reverted back to neg. i'm obviously going to try and readjust with the bolt but heard you could get some play into the leg by adjusting the top mounts - how do you do this?
thanks,
Dan

The top mounts are fixed position. You'd have to get adjustable top mounts to achieve this.

It would be the whole top mount assembly,
adjustable top mount they look pretty trick & need setting up properly.
Would it not be cheaper to replace the strut as it sounds like yours is damaged ......

I don't know what's wrong - the leg looks ok but the wheel is roughly sitting at -3degrees camber. It's doing my head in, I surely couldn't have bent the chassis I only crashed at low speed.

Yeah,
wish bone and track rod.
going to put a new strutt on - can i use a standard 6n2 one? or are they special on the gti?
ah actually - i've just remebered that i replaced the strutt too
so i'm still at a loss to work out why my wheel is tipped over

Did you do the ball joint?

Nope - definitely didnt do that.
You reckon it's worth a try - the camber is about -3 at the mo (is that in the reamls of broken ball joint?)
