De-Cat HELP!

Just had my car in the garage for a custom exhaust, I've gone for stainless straight pipe from manifold to back box, at the moment i still have the standard 6n2 back box on and its really raspy sounds terrible ... can anybody recommend a back box or any other ideas? I'm after a deep subtle sound and a hidden tip off the back box
