12v power socket in boot

I have a 2011 SEL without a 12v socket in the boot and looking to fit one.
I have read that in the mark 5 golf there was a cable run to the boot for the socket even if it wasn't fitted. Does anyone know if this is the case with the Polo?
Thanks
Tom

The BlueGT dosen't have it either...
I have thought about installing one or two in mine just in case I need one at some point for a cooler or something.

I'm busy with that retrofit at the moment - hopefully will get to it next weekend if something else doesn't crop up. Required parts are really cheap. Will let you know how it went!
Let me know if you need the part numbers.

The part numbers I have are:
1K0 919 021 - 12V socket
000 979 145E - Wiring set, you'll need 2 of these
191 919 321 - 3 pin male plug housing (white)
1K0 919 341 J 9B9 - socket cover, non-illuminated, black
These are the absolute minimum you need which will require you to cut into the existing wiring for the cigarette lighter (or front 12V socket). I chose a slightly more elegant route by getting 2 female counterparts to the male plug housing and 1 extra male plug with appropriate wiring to be able to do the job without cutting any of the car's existing wiring.
You could also use an illuminated socket cover, but I don't see much benefit from that. If you'd like the part numbers for the female housing and the wiring, let me know - I'll need to look at ETKA when I get a chance.

Thanks for the info, going to get the bits ordered
