Vw Polo 1.4 16v 2002

A quick up date from previous post:
I have not yet changed the Engine speed sensor, MAP sensor or Crank Sensor
But today I'm getting these following symptoms these were the 1st problems I was getting.
Whilst driving the Rev meter will bounce up and down 2 - 4 times with loss of power as driving, then the Rev meter will die and oil light will blink RED. when I stop the car restart the oil light will disappear but the management light will stay on for a day or two.
Does anyone know what this can be, i was told this is the Crank sensor (so I bought one but not got to fit it yet) maybe this is causing the car to cut out aswell, I have put a new fuel pump relay and the car cuts out less but this was showing a fault on the diagnosis as faulty fuel pump relay anyway
this weekend we will be changing MAP Sensor, Engine speed Sensor and crank sensor, after this I have done almost everything to it expect checking timing belt but I had a brandnew one fitted and water pump in DEC 2013
