Where are polos Built?

To clarify about the popular belief that all 5 door polos are built in SA, thought I'd post this list so people who have ordered know where their car will be coming from! remember on average shipping for SA cars takes on average up to 7 weeks compared to up to 3 for non SA !
UK Spec Cars
South Africa
Polo S - 5 Door
Polo S A/C- 5 door
Polo SE- 5 door
Polo SEL- 5 Door
Iberian
ALL other models

Thanks for this information, i am in the process of configuring a few options and i`m undecided on 3 door or 5 door.

The GTI and BlueGT 3 and 5 doors are all build in Pamplona Spain along with all the left hand drive Polo.
Never heard of the Iberian plant...

Pamplona, Spain is situated on the Iberian Peninsula, along with the rest of Spain.
As there is more than one factory within the Peninsula, I can only assume that's why they generalise it internally for build origin purposes to just "Iberian" rather than stating each individual factory .
For example, the Sharan is also classed as "Iberian" internally, but is built in portugal. The list I posted is only relevant for a general idea of shipping times of
UK Spec cars.

good question, going off that list I'd assume so, but it is rather general and I have no other information available!

Yes , but briefly polo 5 Door isn't affect by any closures.
Polo 3 door production closed week 32-34 reopening week 35

My Polo went to in transit on Tuesday, a 3 door SE. Rang up VW Customer Services asking for an estimate on when it will arrive at Sheerness and was told around 4 weeks as it's on a boat from South Africa...
Maybe the list is wrong?
