18" alloy wheels and tyres

Post by Connorlee2013 »

I am utterly useless when it comes to wheels, firstly, would 18" alloys fit the polo, I'm looking at mk4 r32 alloys, and if they did, what kind of tyres would I need to avoid rubbing and keep the speedo as accurate as possible? Cheers lads

For no rubbing and most accurate Speedo I'd go with 215/35/18, that's what I'm going to put on mine when I find another two wheels.
Genuine R32 wheels would be better due to the higher offset compared to the replicas.

have been lower than that but needed to remove the arch linings and remove the 10mm spacers I had in the rear, to the point of tucking tyre and nearly wheel

So what does it look like unlowered bro? My polo isn't lowered but I really fancy them? Cheers

i wouldnt even fit 18's with that profile to a standard polo, would look stupid, either lower at the same time or just fit 17's with 215/40
