A cry for help. I need to replace the clutch on my GTI, the dealers want silly money for the parts which do not come as a complete kit. Does anyone know where I can source an OE quality clutch kit. I need to know ASAP if possible.

Thanks Alex . Could you find a price for me please. I have been quoted just over £200 + vat from the Main Dealer. The after market Sacks and Valeo ones seem cheaper but I cannot find a supplier

Alex,
I have had to bite the bullet and have gone for a genuine kit from TPS as the market for OEM spec kis seem to have dried up as the ARC engine was apparently only in production for two years.

I just had an email with prices back - but too late it seems! lol
What i have done in the past is got an LUK clutch from GSF/Euro and put a genuine release bearing to it which brings the kit up to OEM quality
There is little option on the older engines sadly and the clutch wasnt used on any other recent model either.

Apparently according to LUK (UK) they no longer manufacture clutch kits for the GTI. Euros have them listed but the part is cross referenced to another part which is the one which is not available.

I just replaced my clutch with one from Euro. They are still showing as in stock and fitment is suitable for both ARC and AVY engines
