Hello all. New to the forum.
I've recently ordered a new polo blue GT. One of the options I selected was mirror link

I'm now hearing that this option is no longer available.

Anyone else hearing the same?

The MirrorLink feature is no longer available to order as an option on new Polo because of its limited compatibility with external devices. It has been removed from any unconfirmed orders. Cars that have been confirmed or built with MirrorLink (PR-code 9WT) will arrive with the system already activated

Dealer is still saying it wont come with mirrorlink and that its too late to add satnav.

As I need satnav of some kind without tomtom etc it'll be either a cancel and reorder or a cancel and go somewhere else.

Seems odd to cancel it. Those who ordered would have been told of the constraints.

You can't spec amend when a car goes to status 20, only at 10. Ask them to check VW desktop, it does say that any confirmed orders should arrive with MirrorLink!

Newbie to site and have recently ordered a new BlueGt (expected delivery is Oct 14).

I have ordered MirrorLink for mine and having read this thread I checked with my dealer about ML availability and he said he has heard nothing about it being removed. It's still showing as an option on the VW website and is still selectable on the online broker sites (DtD, Orangewheels, etc.) Can I ask where the information regarding the removal of this option came from?

Also, I understand that it can be activated by a dealer after supply so is that affected in any way?

Volkswagen Desktop, all dealers have access to it so ask them to check again.

I now notice that MirrorLink is back as an option (3.11.14 price list).

Having ordered this option and then found it had been stopped, I wonder if mine will come with it or not. I believe it can be activated by the dealer, so maybe they'll be able to do it if it's not come from the factory with it.

It's status is that it is on the way to the dealer so not long to go!

I was under the impression they all come with the needed hardware, mirror-link activation is a dealer fit option. In other words, any polo 6c can have it switched on.

I refused that option as it was not recommended by my friend at VW...I use iPhone, anyway Maps are not working. One point is the reasonable Price for the navy option, at least here in Spain (500 € more or less)

Lucky you, it's 900 € in the UK!!

My 6C has it but dealer is finding out what the 'dealer activation code required' means. Hoping it's going to work with my iPhone but I can't even find the app so not holding out much hope.

Sorry, but mirror link is 100% android only. (Possibly windows phone too). iOS only supports CarPlay

Yup currently Android only, but Microsoft's equivalent of CarPlay is supposed to be based on MirrorLink technology so it will hopefully be coming to Windows Phone too. Not a chance of it coming to iOS when Apple has CarPlay to get royalties off...
