UK-POLOS.NET - THE VW Polo Forum

Hey guys, I just got my first car yesterday and after an hour of driving it home we have had intermittent EPC lights and Engine Management Lights come on - so sometimes they will be on, sometimes they won't. Does anyone know what this is or what this could possibly be? The car is driving perfectly and everything seems fine.

You really need to get the fault codes read before you can come to any conclusions, Gendan, ie www.gendan.co.uk sell a simple read for VAG cars - maybe about £40, well worth it to read and clear engine, ABS, and a couple of other areas.

Also, maybe you should sign up for www.seatcupra.net - IBIZA section and www.briskoda.net - Fabia section as there are a lot more people on these two forums that fix their own car than here on this Polo forum. In case you don't know, Fabia (early models) + Polo 9N + Ibiza 4L are mostly the same, except that some Fabias had proper old Skoda engines - ie 1.4 8 valve.
