Brand NEW Clutch Chatter/Grinding

Yesterday picked the car up after getting a brand new clutch and flywheel done at my local dealers (costs kindly covered by the dealer as the clutch went so soon after buying the car as an 'approved used' from them)

there is now a slight but noticeable grinding/vibrating when the clutch is pressed to the floor during gear changes (Most noticeable 1st - 2nd) a 'tingling' or vibrating sensation can also be felt through the clutch pedal. This noise only happens when moving and only when the clutch is pressed during a gear change.

I thought the noise could either be the clutch 'bedding in' and not a real issue whatsoever
OR could be the clutch not being adjusted properly and not fully disengaging at the and of the clutch pedal travel but im not entirely sure.

Any suggestions before I take it back to the dealer to get their opinion?
(also other than this slight noise the car now drives like a dream :D )

I should imagine you'd get no chatter/grinding on a new clutch. When my 6R was new, clutch was smoother than smooth.

Update:
The car is now making a horrible hissing/ticking noise under acceleration and there is a diesel/oily smell in the cabin when the engine is up to temperature...
Really unsure as to whats going on, cannot contact the dealer until monday  but right now im almost too scared to drive the car more than necessary.

Update (again):
Car now seems to have fixed itself, no more chatter or grinding and the hissing and fumes were not present today even after getting the engine up to full temperature :)
not sure what was going on with it before :? but hoping its not going to happen again...
giving it a 160 mile run up to london tomorrow so we will see how she copes with that 8)

Opened the windows while climbing a big b road hill today 3rd gear 40-50mph and annoyingly, the hissing/fluttery noise is back and seems a bit louder than before :(
i still have no idea what it could be (turbo related or exhaust leak maybe... the exhaust leak would go with the fumes from the cabin vents i had before too)
the noise sounds like a water irrigation sprinkler type thingy and is only made in the middle of the rev range and when climbing hills...
has anyone else ever experienced this? :?:
Im hoping for someone to tell me its normal and i can stop worrying but it just dosnt seem right :?

I have issues with my clutch - when i depress the clutch and change up a gear.. I get a tingling noise, like a rattle from something loose.
But when I change down a gear.. Nothing.

Only audible from 1st to 4th.

Let me know what they say about your clutch when you take it in. May have to take mine in aswell.

went into the dealer today and gave the service manager a quick drive and he said he could hear the noise with the clutch and it was definitely not normal, so its booked in on wednesday for a mechanic to listen to and have a look at!
i mentioned the flutter noise/ fumes and they said there was nothing they could do untill the problem surfaces again and is heard by them so as soon as it happens ill be straight down.

we will see what happens wednesday!

Took the car in today,
the technician drove the car first and couldnt hear/feel anything unusual (i could, even from the passenger seat)
and then i drove and pointed out the noise...
he mentioned a problem where the clutch can grind against the chassis if improperly adjusted but had a look and it wasnt that.
in the end he decided that it is just normal engine noise/turbo flutter
and said that if I still think its not quite right i can drive another car of the same spec see if it makes the same noise...

Im not sure whats going on seeing as i think its not normal and the service manager agrees but there appears to be no problem from a mechanics point of view.. :?

anyway, he noticed that my handbrake was a little loose and adjusted that for me
and then, a little bemused, I left...

I honestly dont get it.
Its clearly not a normal noise.. Ive been in other cars which have turbos.. None of them make a noise that can be called Turbo Flutter..
I know when something sounds loose and something is lose either inside the gear box, or the clutch..

Why they wont just take it in and take a look..

Ill ring my dealer over the weekend or take it down there and complain

let me know if your dealer offers any explanation... :?:
im considering paying a local independent to give me a proper diagnosis and then i can report back to vw with the work to be done and hopefully it would be covered under my warranty :?
