Just a quickie to save me pulling out the light clusters to check. Does the Polo have 1 or 2 reversing lights as standard? If it's 2 I think I have a bulb out.

Just the one - near side - as far as I know. It needs a bit of uprating. I used a 60w LED which gives a reasonable light.

Nothing dramatic on mine. I have swapped the main beam to Nightbreaker Ultimates.

Did it make a major difference? Did you change the dipped as well?

It helped the range of the beam somewhat. I didn't change the dip

Bit of a revive

Has anyone found a decent lamp to replace the standard dire reversing lamp?

I bought a set of led ones off eBay but they are going back as they we're no where near claimed spec.

Can anyone send me license plate LED lights that are super white and bright ?. (without geting any lights in the dash)
And also can you change the reverse bulb to a brighter LED white bulb without geting any lights in the dash ?.

for the licence plates, i'd recommend the OEM LED ones, those are perfect and give no error in the dash. Super bright is not really what you want there though, just subtle is enough.
for the reverse light, it's a P21W fitting I think. I had to disable the light warning despite having 2 reverse lights though. Thats easy with VCDS though. :)

I've ordered some 21w halogen lamps to give them ago in the time being

There is a 35w halogen but didn't fancy putting the extra load on the system and the extra heat in the cluster.

I'm still looking to find a decent LED version
