The other day in Belfast a short walk from where i work these wee bast**ds broke into my polo and completely wrecked it. The car was alarmed and there was a chain on it as well. So fortunatly they didn't steal her nor did they get anything cos they must have been spooked by a passer by.
When trying to get into her firstly it looks as if they punctured the bodywork under the lock to lift the locking mechanism up with a jimmy bar, then having failed at this (and leaving a giant gaping hole in the door) they tried to pop of the back window by levering the jimmy bar on the top of the rear panel, lifting the paint and denting the top of the panel about 3 times. It lokos awful. After this failed they just smashed the back window and reached around to open the lock on the door. They could have just smashed front window and not have damaged the car!
After all that they lifted absoultly nothin!
(sad cos they wrecked car for nuthin)
You might be wondering what the moral of this post is. Well in my eyes the car would never had been stolen cos it was immobilsed and alarmed and the chain would take about 2 hours to cut through (marine grade very thich and heavy). So the only thing i can think of was that they spotted the Sony Xplod 6x9s on rear parcel shelf.
Now I know some of you are goin to say why 6x9s when good upfron crossover or tweets etc etc and sub in boot would be better. maybe but its too late.
So my problem is how do i hide the great big heavy 6x9s in the boot either by making my own stealth shelf cos £££ is tight now after above, or could i make some type of bracket to mount the spekers in boot.
So please if anyone has had similar problem or a soloution gis us a shout
Cheers lads (and ladies)
