Blue GT front grill GT badge

I have asked my dealer to remove the GT badge from the front grill for delivery on Monday, but he says there might be an unsightly mounting plate behind it. He's unsure because this is the first BGT they have ever sold
Has anyone removed the badge and, if so, what lurks beneath?

I have removed mine. It is just glued in place. you can easily do it your self. Just get your fingers in and "unhook" it at the back and pull it off.
When it's off there is only a bit of the black glue (The same stuff used to glue in windows or sideskirts) which you can rub of with your fingers. (Does need a little muscle... But still very easy).

Excellent. That's exactly what I was hoping for - no plate under the badge (like there is on the GTI grill). Thanks for posting the pix
I will also be removing the GT and Bluemotion badges on the rear, but leaving Polo so it doesn't look debadged (and therefore worth stealing)!

Are you going as far as sawing one exhaust pipe off and putting 15 inch steel wheels on ?

I took mine off when the car was a few month old. On a warm day with the car out in sun i just took them off with my fingers. Nu tools.

If you have trouble getting the glue off, Autosmart Tardis glue and tar remover is very good at getting it off.

Soaking it in a load of wd-40 and leaving for 2 minutes helps a tonne
Then a polish with something like autoglym srp will get out any light scratch u might pick up/ remove any fading. You probably won't have any fading on a new car

Hi guys
My name is Joaquin and I'm from Madrid (Spain)
I have no Polo, but I drive a VW Golf Mk7
My car is a 1.2 TSI 63 Kw (86 HP). I did some changes on it
The car is nice and has very good equipment like sport seats, Ergoactive heated seats, Bixenon Plus, 17" Salvador Rims, etc...
I sent the car to
https://www.br-performance.be/en-be/ and on Stage 1 the car now shows 120 HP and 221 Nm
Old rims:
The new ones:
I don't like the rear TSI logo, so I removed it. My car is a "rare species" in the spanish market as this version is not sold in Spain (I purchased it in Germany)
As It's my ""customized Golf GT"", I bought the rear blue GT logo and I was looking for the front blue GT emblem/logo too
Could anyone of you sell me the one you removed please?
