Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
Yep, a long time ago love took me to these Royal lands.
Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
I just checked connection 73a/44 and it's ok, I want to check the continuity of the black and yellow cable, according to the diagram you've put, I would have to look from connector 4 of the head light control regulator to 73a/44, is that right? go if when manipulating the cable the fault is higher.
Can I use the car with this fault? nothing will break right? the backlighting of the radio and air conditioning buttons work well.

Since the faults are intermittent, it is possible that you take measurements with the multimeter and everything is correct. Wiggle the wires around the areas where you made the connections/repairs as you make the checks.
Please, take a couple of photos/pictures from the connections/splices you've made on the yellow/black wire and post them here.
Don't worry in case the repairs you did look awful, we love those pictures here, they are the best, and we can draw good conclusions and great ideas.

Why did you choose Madrid for your profile and not another place?

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
I can circulate with the car despite this fault right?
Throughout the day I post photos of my masterpiece and take measurements.
I put Madrid on my profile because I work here but I go to Miguelturra on a regular basis.

Yes the car is still safe to drive.
If you have VCDS, please go to 09 Central Electrics, code byte 17 bit 7 to 1, go to advanced measurement values, look for cruise control and tell us the values please.

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
It detects the 4 buttons well for me if you refer to this measurement.

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
I put photos, right now the installation consists of an extension of the yellow/black cable with a small black/blue cable. I have joined these two cables with a connector that I had left over and it is very well protected with tape. The black and blue cable is connected to 73a/44 with the specific connector. With the multimeter mark continuity between
union cable yellow/black with black/blue and t73a/44.
I try to connect directly black/yellow cable to t73a/44? I have not done it already because the installation seems good and unmounting t73a/44 is complicated.

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
I have disassembled the light control connector, should there be continuity between this cable that I mark with the red circle and t73a/44?

No the circled t17/4 is to the stalks to operate the high beam switch. T17/1 (black) is +15

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems
iichel, he said that the CC works correctly, and according to the autoscan posted the BCM coding for CC is correct. It already has Byte17 Bit7 activated. What do you intend to conclude with these inquiries?
In the many BCM changes that we have made around here for other people, the 01336 faults are common when the electrical installation has not been completed or something was not done in the proper way on the fuse destined for the control of the headlight adjustment, especially when Bixenon headlights and control unit J431/J745 ( Address 55: Headlight Range) are retrofitted.
Crystal clear.

On the other hand, we already know what the 'Doctor House' thinks about the certainty of what people say...
First there is the authentic reality, that information about reality reaches our eyes/senses through a medium that can distort the reality slightly, then each one of us has eyes (senses) whose connections with the brain are also different, which in turn distort it again. Subsequently, and as we are 'individuals' our different brains interpret that already distorted reality also differently, concluding that it is difficult to know if my reality or any other is the authentic 'reality'.
G House was clear that everyone lies.
Doing it deliberately seems to be the favorite sport of human beings. Many unfounded fears lead us to do so.
The greater fear, the greater the trick.
Fortunately, here we have the best diagnostic tools for such a circumstance... we are the Red bull of diagnosis.
