Polo 6C rear number plate lights

Hi guys hoping you's lot can help,
I'm attempting to change over the standard halogen units to LED units. Quite common practice among 6R's I believe but it seems difficult to do on the 6C as mountings and power sockets have been changed (see below pictures for the difference between 6R and 6C units.
Has anybody already managed to do this? Seems extremely complicated!

According to ETKA these are the LED ones for the 6C: 1K8943021C

tried and failed got bulbs to go in instead

That's weird - the genuine VW LED's from my 6R fitted straight into my 6C

Final result if anyone is interested. Super pleased with them as they make the whole rear end look so much more crisp and fresh at night.

Hi,
I’m also looking to do this mod on my 6C, were these OEM lamps rather then the aftermarket lamps you can find all over eBay, I find the aftermarkets way to bright and chavvy looking, if these are OEM are you able to find a supplier? The link above says these are now out of stock.

Guessing if the car doesn’t have Led numberplate lights already she’s going to have canbus error’s on the bloody dash lol

2 years newer could make all the difference. Oh well I bought them for £13 so not a massive loss if they don’t work.
Shame I had to order them online from Germany and not able to just goto VW and order some. They always come out with “they won’t fit” or “you’ll get a light on the dash” like I know the rivals mate just supply what I’m asking for hahah!

May I add to the discussion, concerning Polo 6R (I know the thread is about the 6C) it will need a small VCDS adjustment. I cannot speak for the 6C though.
