6R MFSW Volume Buttons - Stopped Working

Hi All
Funny thing happened this morning. There I am meandering along the M25 when the volume buttons stopped working on my MFSW. All other buttons work fine.
Any ideas ?

Have you changed your steering wheel or radio at any point?

Yes, I've changed both and did all the necessary VCDS work. However that was 6 months ago.

I would first do some VCDS diagnostics and see what that shows
Failing that, could be the buttons going faulty or a loose connection on the steering wheel loom

I retrofitted MFSW buttons to my 6R GTI and one day some of the right hand ones randomly stopped working.
With engine/ignition off I held down all the right hand side buttons, then turned the ignition on and they came back to life. Give that a try!
