Hi All,
Just Introducing myself... Been on and off here reading what you all have to say and would like to thank you for helping me make my decision, and on Saturday I traded in my little 32000 mile VW UP! which has served me excellently over the last two years, to my 4000 mile old VW Polo Blue GT!
Very excited to see what this little beast has in store for me
Any advice/tips you have will be much appreciated.
New Polo:
Old UP!
Thanks,
Jake

Here she is!!
It is an absolute dream to drive, such a difference to the UP! Definitely very pleased with my choice.
First mod: Chrome Exhaust end-pipes, will post pics when they are sorted!

the bluegt looks so good in that blue. Nearly ordered my gti on the same colour but whenever I look at it I feel like it belongs to the bluegt. I will be coming from a citigo so will be very similar!

Very similar indeed!
Did check out a GTI but being 19 I struggled to get insured on the larger 1.8 in the new GTI.
Both are fantastic little beasts though!

So I fitted my first mod to the little beast over the weekend, some fantastic chrome exhaust tips off the GTI!
Here's a few before and after shots, excuse the car being so filthy, I was blasting around a damp Anglesey in North Wales all weekend.
For reference, I got mine off the eBay shop "Caffyns" as mentioned on this forum previously and they are listed as for a Skoda Yeti, and they cost me £29 for the pair. However I had to remove the top clip from the inside with a pair of pliers and had to crimp the first kink in the other three clips with a pair of pliers as they were extremely stiff to begin with.
Now they are on nice and square though all the way to the end and are very very sturdy. And I think they look fantastic! No idea why they aren't there as standard.
