Lowering Help

Got some Audi A1 s line alloys on and wanted to lower with springs. Was looking at H&R 25/40 or the eibach pro kit but was then worried about rubbing with my alloys
can anyone confirm or give me advice on how much I can lower before I will encounter any problems, all be it minor issues. Alloy specs below. Cheers

7.5j Wide
17'' Diameter
36 offset
215/40/17 tyres
57.1 centre bore

You'll have no problems with springs, But you might rub if you get it lower with coilovers.

I ran 8 and 9J 17s on my GTI with H&R 35/50 springs and I had no issues at all.
You'll be fine going a lot lower than that with some A1 wheels (I'm assuming there 7.5J)

Okay thankyou guys. Yes they are 7.5j wide.
I ideally want some H&R 25/40, but theres a set of eibach 30mm on ebay right now so I might end up just getting those. Im worried thats not low enough tho

I'm on BC Racing coilovers and they are amazing! Go seriously low and are great on the track! Best of both worlds

Another thing if anyone has any info on would be great is whether I am compromising my cars performance and life by lowering it on springs.
Can expect issues with the dampers and shocks further down the line or is it still safe and will the car be fine?
Cheers

My dampers felt like jelly after a few thousand miles on springs. I would recommend changing the struts as well or go coilovers

My car does bounce a bit on big bumps but im on 35/55 and they're meant to be a lot harsher. My shocks are still dry after 9 months of having them fitted with the stock shocks

Got a set of h&r 25/40 that should be coming in the post today thanks to bessos and his great communication.
Been doing a fair bit of research but does anyone know If I need a camber kit/camber bolts when installing the springs?

nope, its literally just swapping the springs over (with spring compressors of course)
